The CGC Communicator Newsletter Web Posting

Following is an open letter dated December 15, 2009 from Vikki Amrine of American Tower Corporation to the broadcast community.  It is reproduced here, at the request of Communications General Corporation, with her permission.


Due to organizational changes and downsizing within the American Tower Broadcast Group, my position as the Broadcast Western Regional Leasing Account Manager with American Tower has been eliminated and I, along with five others in our group, will be leaving the company effective December 31st.

It has been my great pleasure to work with all of you over the past 13½ years and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you.  I have strived to maintain our relationships throughout several company turnovers, from Lodestar Towers/LeBlanc to SpectraSite and then American Tower.  Many of you have been with me through my entire journey on our broadcast towers and I am proud of all the accomplishments achieved over the years with your trust and help.

From building and leasing the Mount Harvard broadcast facility in Los Angeles, to championing a successful campaign to replace the sixteen year old FM Master Antenna in St Louis (New Dielectric FMV - 10 Full Power FMs) and most recently the ERI Master FM in Dallas, to getting your stations on-the-air by your CP deadlines, we have negotiated and completed a lot of projects together.

After taking a much needed short break in January, I hope to resurface somewhere in the broadcast/wireless/tower industry, quite possibly in a consulting role, maybe even for American Tower.  If you have any ideas, or if I can be of any help to your company in the future, please feel free to contact me.

I will still be here to help you at American Tower through December 31st as I am still actively working with some of you to close out our pending projects. (We have about 9 business days left!)  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
